TYPICAL APPLICATIONS FOR OUR GANTRY MILLING MACHINES
Mould making
Gantry milling machines in the automotive industry
Our gantry milling machines are indispensable in the mould making industry. After all, our machines increase the milling process efficiency by up to 40 per cent. As a result, the time required for complete machining, roughing and finishing, is reduced from 73 to 47 hours - without any compromises. Our gantry milling machines also guarantee excellent surface quality and, due to the outstanding quality of the motion control, an excellent ‘character line’.
Design industry
Gantry milling machines in the automotive industry
FOOKE gantry milling machines are also used in the design sector. Our gantry milling machines deliver excellent surface quality with highly dynamic 5- side machining of large 1:1 design models. There is a good reason why all OEMs in Germany manufacture their 1:1 models on gantry milling machines from FOOKE. Due to this close cooperation with the leading players in the industry, we have a significantg deal of expertise and the necessary industry know-how.
Gantry milling machines in the aviation industry
In the aerospace industry, FOOKE gantry milling machines are used, for example, for 3D surface milling of thin-walled aluminium outer skin panels. Due to the highly dynamic linear drive technology, optimised component clamping and intelligent quality control, our gantry milling machines can achieve productivity increases of up to 35% compared to corresponding reference processes. Our customised applications ensure the greatest possible customer benefit.
Gantry milling machines for the railway vehicle industry
FOOKE gantry milling machines are also used in the production of rail vehicles. This includes the machining of side walls, roofs and floor assemblies - ultimately, we are the market leader when it comes to machining large-volume aluminium profiles. Our long-bed gantry milling machines offer X-travels of up to 90 metres and 2 gantries if required. This allows set-up and processing to be completed in a single operation. Due to an optimal division of the working area, our gantry milling machines also enable 3-position machining. Moreover, customised clamping concepts and fixtures can also be integrated on request.
