The family business Fooke
The origins of the family business founded by Heinrich Fooke date back to 1904. Starting with a bicycle business including its own forge for the production of signs and fences, the business shifted completely to the construction of machines when Johannes Fooke took over in 1930. After the reconstruction of the company in the post-war years, Heinrich Fooke took over the management in 1956. From the church chandelier to the fish stick breading machine to the modern milling machine, he developed and built countless items of equipment and machinery.
In 1994, he handed over the management of the family business to his 32-year-old son Johannes. In the years that followed, the contract structure had changed considerably, the projects became more complex and new business areas emerged. Today, the aircraft industry and rail transport are fixed components of the range of services.
Hendrik Fooke has been part of the family business since 2017. He is responsible for sales and business field development and also secures the succession as future managing director.

Management takeover by Mr. Johannes Fooke (2nd Managing Director).
1945
Complete destruction of the company facilities by the bombing of the city of Borken on March 16, 1945.
1946
Resumption of business activities after reconstruction of the operating facilities.
1956
Takeover of company management by Mr. Heinrich Fooke (3rd managing director).
Products: Machinery, equipment and components for mining, metallurgical and rolling industries.
1968
Relocation of the FOOKE company to Raiffeisenstraße, Borken. First significant enlargement of the company's operating premises.
1979
Acquisition of the company HILGERS & BEST, including its subsidiary ESA, active in the field of electronics, machinery, steel and mining equipment.
1980
Expansion of the production area through the acquisition of the neighboring property with its " Grenzlandhalle" (borderland hall).
1981
Development of the world's first metal stream inoculation system on behalf of the FOSECO company.
1985
Foundation of the subsidiary H & H Hydraulik und Hubgeräte GmbH (production of hydraulic cylinders).
Production and distribution of hydraulic clamping nuts.
1987
Development and production of the first CNC-controlled portal milling machine ENDURA®.
1988
New office complex and assembly hall.
1994
Development of the ENDURA® travelling column milling machine for machining large components for high-speed trains (ICE).
1998
First orders from well-known companies in the European aviation industry.
1999
Management takeover by Mr. Johannes Fooke (4th Managing Director).
2000
Distribution of the first ENDURA® machines to the Asian market.
2001
Development and production of the first clamping fixture for the aviation industry.
2003
Sales launch of the newly developed ENDURA® 900LINEAR portal milling machine series, large milling machines with linear direct motors in all axes.
2004
100th company anniversary.
2005
Development and production of the first assembly system for the aerospace industry.
2007
Development and production of the ENDURA® 1100LINEAR lateral milling machine.
Sale of the first ENDURA® machine to the Russian market.
2008
Development and production of the ENDURA® 800 plate milling machine with a milling tool diameter of 3,100 mm.
Sale of the first ENDURA® machines to the American market.
2009
Development and production of the ENDURA® 700LINEAR compact portal milling machine.
Construction of a new assembly hall.
2010
Establishment of a partnership with Tianjin GMS Machine Tool Service Co., Ltd. in Tianjin.
2011
Service cooperation with CEPR, Ltd. in Novosibirsk.

Foundation of FOOKE USA, Inc. in Michigan.

Development and manufacture of the ENDURA® 7000LINEAR compact portal milling machine for HSC machining of high-strength materials in tool and mold making.
Development and manufacture of the friction stir welding and milling machine for friction stir welding, milling and brushing of large-surface aluminum workpieces.
Sale of the first ENDURA® machine to the Korean market.
2016
Construction of two additional assembly halls.
Foundation of FOOKE Japan K.K. in Yokohoma.
Sale of the first ENDURA® machines to the Japanese market.
2017
Relocation of the service department to Raiffeisenstraße 10.
2019
Establishment of a service subsidiary in the USA.
